Open Door International (ODI) is a non-profit organization based in Cologne, Germany, which promotes intercultural and international learning through youth exchange programs. It is an organization with more than 30 years of experience. ODI offers Prepa UDEM students the opportunity to study for an academic year or semester in Germany to improve their language skills and live a unique experience in another culture while learning another educational system, adapting with a host family, visiting unique destinations and make friends for a lifetime.

The program works with public schools in Germany, it is not possible to determine in advance which city the student will be assigned to. In public schools the student follows the German curriculum, with local classmates and all classes taught in German, which is why our students are required to have at least a B1 level in the Goëthe Zertifikat test so that they can adjust and manage the classes well. The student must arrive in Germany with a solid language level, in order to improve it (not to learn it). Through accommodation with a
host family, the student practices the language regularly and learns more about
